How do I turn off conversation tones (when I send and receive a message)?

Conversation tones are the sounds played when you send and receive a message. By default, your conversation tones are turned on. The volume of conversation tones is controlled by your phone's notifications volume.

To turn these tones on/off:

1. Open WhatsApp.
2. Go to Menu Button > Settings > Notifications > Conversation tones.
3. Uncheck the box to turn the tones off. Check the box to turn the tones on.

Keep in mind that adjusting the Conversation tones settings will adjust both the incoming and outgoing message tones simultaneously.
