How do I send in my crash reports?

If WhatsApp Messenger is crashing or freezing, we may ask you to send us your crashlog files to help us identify the cause.

To send us a crash report, you will need to sync your iPhone with iTunes on your computer. iTunes will automatically copy your latest crash reports to your computer. They can be found in the following locations:

Mac OS X
  1. Open Finder.
  2. Click Go in the Menu Bar and select Go to Folder....
  3. Copy and paste, or type this location into the Go to Folder box: ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice (case sensitive).
  4. Open the folder for your phone.
Windows Vista/7
  1. Open Explorer.
  2. Type into the address box: C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter\MobileDevice
  3. Open the folder for your phone.
Windows XP
  1. Open Explorer.
  2. Type into the address box: C:\Documents and Settings\Application Data\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter
  3. Open the folder for your phone.

The crash report files should start with WhatsApp_ and the date they were created, and end in .crash. Please attach the 5 most recent crash reports in reply to your support email. Please note that if you do not see any crash report files that start with WhatsApp, the issue is likely being caused by the iOS.
