How do I change my profile picture, name or status for Windows Phone?

Depending on your privacy configuration, your profile photo and name may be visible to anyone on WhatsApp. To set your profile photo and name:

  1. Open WhatsApp and tap More How do I change my profile picture, name or status for Windows Phone? > settings > profile.
  2. After tapping profile photo you will have option to:
    • take a photo,
    • choose from albums,
    • or remove existing photo.
  3. Tap the text box under Enter your name to change the name that is visible to your contacts.

Status

The status feature in WhatsApp is a real time indication of what you are doing so that you can keep up to date with your contacts. To set your status:

  1. Open WhatsApp and tap More How do I change my profile picture, name or status for Windows Phone? > settings > profile.
  2. Tap on the pencil icon to open the status screen.
  3. Tap the text box to write a personal status (up to 139 characters).

Note: Blocked contacts will not see any updates to your profile picture and status.
