WhatsApp works with both BES and BIS. With BES configured devices, the IT Policy may prevent WhatsApp from working properly. You may see the following warning if the Split-Pipe Connections policy is set to deny:
“WhatsApp has detected that your device is configured for BES (Blackberry Enterprise Services) and cannot be connected over split pipes."
Please contact your BlackBerry network administrator to allow the policy "Split-Pipe Connections." Disabling the "Internal Connections" policy provides a similar level of security, without interrupting WhatsApp service.
